Serian’s Kimya Kimya is set on a private riverside site in the Mara North Conservancy. This snug little setup is chock-full of character with grand views over the rushing Mara River and a lively salt lick that regularly features Elephant, Giraffe and Zebra.

Throughout the day, Zebra work their way down to the nearby spring for a mid-morning tipple, often displaced by raucous kids wanting to splash around in the warm water spring. This is an active river crossing point; Elephant and Giraffe navigate their way through the maze of granite boulders to the opposite bank.
Porini Mara Camp
Ol Kinyei Conservancy was the first community conservancy of it’s kind set up in 2005 and every tent pays to secure 700 acres with the vehicles being limited to no more than 1 vehicle to 1400 acres. The guests staying at the Porini Camps have exclusive access to this conservancy.

There is a resident lion pride of over 20 animals and several leopards also have their territories within the Ol Kinyei conservancy and are often sighted by guests from Porini Mara Camp on evening or early morning drives. Cheetahs are frequently seen and it is not rare to come across large numbers of giraffe as well as Cape buffalo and elephants.

Game viewing is exceptional all year round, but from July to October you will also get to experience the Great Migration, an extra two million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. The 'Secret Season' of January to March is often as rewarding, with clear skies, short grass, and lots of babies.
